Seattle Church to Minister to People 'Infected With AIDS'

Why would anyone want to be involved with a church that doesn't allow them to be members? Obviously, our work is not done. Are they afraid they would have to marry LGBT couples if they were members? Or have their children in Sunday school? I don't think this is the way church was intended to be.

When will religious leaders embark the real and knowledge based task of intrepreting scripture in respect to homosexuality? My bet is that they are incapable of doing this because they are afraid of what they may discover. Just the phrase "people infected with AIDS" shows an ignorance. Equating being gay with HIV is ignorant too. I have HIV+ since July 2010 and the acronym AIDS never comes out of my mouth. I have HIV not AIDS. As a gay Catholic my faith is challenged everytime I go to church.
