Throughoiut life HIV is a very hard thing to deal with in ones life, I'm 53yrs and was diagnosed in in '96, and though I was of subsantial age it is still very hard to cope with, I pray every day. This boy was abused for many years. This will have very strong impact on his life for along time,probably the rest of his life. The powers that be should recognize this, and somehow seize the situation, and take control. Pedophilia is "NO JOKE",and should be stopped and delt with at all cost.
A teenager when the assaults began, this young man was not a "young boy". Why are homophobia inferences are so fequently part of "reporting" on incidents such as these? Statistics show that pedophiles are most often heterosexual in their desires.

Children cannot give consent to have sex. Whether the boy was 9 or 12 when the molestation started, this was a CHILD who was RAPED by an adult. The sexes of the victim and the perpetrator are irrelevant. The story is relevant because it involves sexual transmission of HIV and the ethical and legal implications. Is it worse to give HIV to someone by forced/coerced sex as opposed to consensual sex? That is a relevant discussion.
