I attended a birthday party for a friend celebrating her 76th birthday at a rooftop restaurant. Two couples, younger Gay men, well, younger than me (40s) talked about their new condo with the heated floors and upscale appliances and their last vacation and their next vacation. I don't have much to say to them as I spent my 40s waiting for what my friends went through to happen to me. Somehow it didn't. I don't resent them and I don't envy them, who cares about dishwashers? It's odd.
