A. It's a crime that efavirenz is still licensed. (Bigger crime that a doc would prescribe it-- or any FDC that contains it.) We have known since 1998 (!!!) the legion of issues with this drug. In my experience, 4 out of 5 people who take it encounter these side effects: mostly soul-wrenching depression and sleep disorders. Why is it still on the market, for god's sake? Where are the activists? B. Aside from that, the root causes of sleep & mood disorders are largely diet, lifestyle, hormones.
