It is obvious that the HIV infection is not infectious but basically one social problem and showing better than in the US History marginalization Southern countries have always had. The persistence of cases and deaths speaks simple but sadly that the continued marginalization and at the expense of the life basically of the most vulnerable and not because of them the disease is worse but simply because in them the opportunities to live and improve are slim. The same happens in Mexico.

Not surprising since the south has high rates of almost everything bad- diabetes, obesity, homicide, teen pregnancy etc. Religion and poverty trump all.
