I agree with David from Atlanta. I have been positive since '89 with one strain of the virus. My viral load goes up and down all of the time. So this study does not explain why my viral load goes up (and I am on meds).

I sincerely wish that researchers would get their stories straight about "superinfection" and cease with the scare tactics. This study sounds completely bogus. Eight men? What researchers were involved? Who sponsored the study? And how can they claim that two of the men had rising viral loads because of the second strain? How does that explain rising viral loads in people with one strain? As research goes, this tells me nothing and is simply irresponsible pseudo-science.
