This is a good article for someone who's newly diagnosed, and whose strain of HIV can be treated with first line HIV meds. The one thing I might have added is, that if one's HIV does not readily respond to treatment with first-line meds, a phenotype test, to see what meds are still effective against one's HIV, may be needed.
