There may be cause to celebrate the house and senate came to a final agreement on a package of bills that target the opioid crisis, particularly the epidemic levels of substance abuse and overdoes in the country (72,000 in 2017). The package of bills authorizes 9.3 billion toward addressing the crises. While no bill has the chance of suiting both political wings of the American government, this piece of legislation does at least earmark funds to fight the crises--albeit not the full scope.
