I had the pleasure of meeting your folks last night, real good people....Your mom gave me a bag with several copies of your books in it, the family would like to thank you and your family so much for them. I had moved away from home when I guess you came on the scene. I remember seeing a picture of Hulk Hogan and some kid in his office (now at home) and wondered when he had got into wrestling. Now I know who the kid in the picture is. Your mom mentioned a movie, I hope it works out… My wife’s brother who is in California wrote a script for an afternoon school special and won an Emmy award for it. Take care and “Break a Leg” or something like that…

Shawn, I just got home from Dr. Fisher's memorial service. I am a close friend of his son, Jim. I knew about Lyman's career but never understood just how much he affected the lives of his patients until I heard several of them speak tonight. As you would know, Lyman would not have been the one to tell you what great things he was doing. I am sure that he would agree that what you are doing in NYC is much more important than attending his service. Carl Miller PS, there was a copy of your book at the reception, on the table with some of Lyman's scrapbooks and awards.

My son is HIV+ and 23 years old. Within 6 months he in undetected. It is mostly due to family support and secondly a doctor similar to you precious doctor. At first he was angry and hated the doctor. Now he is relocating and is sad to leave and go to a new doctor. Ther are not enough doctors who keep themselvesw informed and moreso care about the patients both physically and their emotionally. God Bless them ALL!

Hi, i liked your story about your Dr. You know i have always though that many Drs around the world are not making enough about Hiv prevention nor advocacy. Being they, some of the more well informed about this and with more credibility than many of us... they should spread the news about the world and help to finish with the stigma. I am new in this, so i have had just one single Dr so far and she does not recognise me when she sees me.... she ask me everytime... are you on meds or not? no, no yet. Or askes me... do you have diarrhoea? and i answer... i told you last month i don't have it now. So... i am not very happy with her but here in Ecuador you cannot choose Drs, i just wish i would have had a Dr like yours. I send this post in honor of a man who is a real hero in the war against hiv, i don't know him... but i feel so thankful anyways.
