Thanks for this important post. At 76 years of age I had never been in a really co-dependent friendship, until about 3 years ago, I developed a non-sexual, but loving friendship with a 32 year old, going on 16. What a mistake on my part. Your story hit me right over the head, and I saw myself in the mirror. Now I must extricate myself from this dynamic. Thank You.
