Excellent article! I've been lucky for most of the 26 years I've been HIV+. I can only recall one HIV specialist who wasn't a fit for me. I now have such a brilliant HIV specialist that despite moving to another country, I go back to see her every 3 months!

It is most important to have a doctor in any circumstance that hears what your saying, knows your history, and takes the time to explain meds and what side affects, if any, one might expect.
