How is it that straight, white, HIV-, people are always telling me about what it's like being HIV positive? How is it that when you attend HIV conferences, they are doing all the talking? I spoke out about this recently after a straight white older HIV- researcher who's mantra was 'no decision about us without us' are you 'us'? Really we are just a 'target population' to be studied and profited from. It is unfathomable that HIV+ people are not in positions of power in our own organizations.
