Hmmm... I read both of your blogs and I didn't see any irresponsibility, hate, or censorship. I saw a person with an opinion. I won't say that I know all the facts on the issues but like you said, its your opinion. If people take opinions as fact, I'm for looking at Hitler's plans for getting rid of gene pools. Fortunately, I know for a fact that stupid, ignorant people can have children that surpass them and are beautiful people the world shouldn't live without. Opinion - a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge It is MY OPINION that your opinions are valid and worth looking into. Bubba hugs! Patrick
I see - so to have a DIFFERENT professional outlook on HIV and AIDS , HIV OR AIDS - is ''odious''. I thought it was about science not personality . It is a bit flippant to say that ALL of the professionals/thinkers/observers who disagree/question mainstream thinking are burying their heads in the sand, many of them are not and do not DENY that there is a problem at cellular level but they do argue the cause - viral -and so on in a scholarly way with great care - some lay people take their research and interpet it for themselves , sometimes irresponsibly. when you read ALL their papers there are good points raised that have always been ignored so you could say mainstream chose to censor them - they certainly did with Deuesberg. Diversity occurs in mainstream thinking also . I think it is fair to say that when you single out one grieving mother where there has been controversy over the circumstances of the death and the autopsy - you are attempting to stir emotions from parents. I am a parent and apparently hiv poz - and I have nothing but sympathy for any parent who loses their child in this way - it was far too sudden in a previously healthy child - not usual to be so healthy and progress to ''full blown symptomatic AIDS '' under the care of wealthy parents with regular medical updates and check ups. This was backed up by childcare , school and neighbours/ doctors - but the media vilified her and they tried to dig dirt - they asked if anyone had seen ...bruises ...on her daughter - ? Read all of the reports - it was handled very suspiciously. Why were neighbours and schools questioned before the autopsy was made public , four months later. Why did they try to squeeze her community in this way? It is a very worrying indication of how , in your great country, your rights are being eroded as patients and parents. There are many many communities worldwide being treated for immune problems - including HIV - without ARVS and doing well without side effects. Many of the dissidents you refer to as having died AIDS deaths were on medications and came to their views later in their diagnosis - many succumbed to side effects and cancers and it is arguable whether this can be blamed on HIV. The AIDSTRUTH page that trumpets AIDS deaths of 'dissidents' leaves me with a dirty taste in my mouth- it shows a great lack of specificity for one thing. Many struggled with life long addictions just as many in mainstream did and do. Iatrogenic deaths are brushed under the mat - worldwide , medical errors are covered up . Its such a hornets nest of pr spin and scare mongoring to insist after only 25 years that - these are Absolute Laws - AIDS kills , HIV causes all AIDS, HIV is an exogenous virus , no other treatment will work for immunodeficiency but ARVS in their various toxic forms. My heart goes out to any parent confronted with a dictate to medicate a baby. All HIV meds can cause AIDS symptoms also - it says it in the packaging...:) Sure they are helpful to some but for many they cause problems and where these people would like to choose their medicine , they are being - criminalised - it is hysteria ,like witch hunting in previous centuries when we erased entire communities of their cultural healing practices - even when they worked well. We dont want to spend 30 40 50 60 years taking toxic meds to fix our immune system while knocking the white blood cell factory through the balls of our feet - to put it simply. There is no guarantee that little Eliza , if she truly had HIV , would have survived on arvs . A family has the right to choose whether to vaccinate , whether to accept foreign blood and whether to take toxic meds .They have the right to research and choose what they believe is best for quality of life , affordability, and ethics. Your only ref to 'denialists' is AIDSTRUTH....that is censorship. Why not put a link to the dissident web pages? The arrogance of all academics can be a royal headache both sides of the fence - as patient. The Stigma we now export to Africa and India where people naturally carry a higher load of pathogens and antibodies is counter productive - we tell people they have hiv related aids without even testing them - based on one of a dozen symptoms and plonk a double whammy of ''sorry yes you have TB / Diarrohea, your immune system is weak therefore you have AIDS ..which is caused by HIV , which you must have got sexually .Go home and ask your husband is he sleeping around... He threw you out - whaaat?'' ''Well we have a nice NGO that will give you a bed and free condoms.'' There is an element of this to our safe sex pillaging of the developing world .. There is a lot of truth to the suggestion that chronic malnutrition and stress can cause changes at cellular level that cause you to Acquire Immuno Deficiency. Dirty water, mining and over seas military service probably dont help much either. I think we as patients are all on the same page. We should be demanding answers and dialogue from every corner on this new phenomena we call HIV.We should be reading everything where we can , not just what we are told to read. all the best.

it takes a certain kind of mentality to single out women and their children for public bias , dressed up as 'blogging' by a professional hiv industry insider. sorry if it seems rude. but you do no justice to the complexities of south africas political and economic climate with your sweeping statement on Mbeki or your admonishments of maggiore. this is the kind of thinking that has caused the countless deaths of enfants through the withdrawal of breastfeeding by foreign intervention when there was no evidence to support claims ...opinions ...that more babies were being infected with so called hiv via breast milk than on formula. the exact opposite proved to be the case. but mothers were coerced and babies were denied the very building blocks for their immature immune systems. the risk was negligible. even within mainstream this has been admitted , and as someone who did breastfeed i can stand by that. maggiore like many mothers and fathers in loving stable family units - a fact others have tried to destroy through malicious rumour and innuendo - made the decisions all parents must make for their families - to seek out a healthy natural lifestyle and to use medicinal systems that supported her beliefs, with the long term health of her family in mind. in parallel to her loss, 100's if not 1000's of parents have lost children through inept and corrupt medical trials where the boundaries of human endurance and suffering have been pushed to the outer limits of acceptance and beyond. children are being used as guinea pigs to develop drugs for adults we cant recruit to human trials. this is a disgrace of hiv history for sure and one day it will be looked back on as such. as adults we should not tolerate this exploitation of vulnerables but there is not a whisper from the aids community elected to represent us ...just the usual caterwauling about christine maggiore. no child deserves THIS kind of abuse , dressed up as 'humane intervention' and defended so aggressively by a bunch of adults running scared for their own selfish desire to chase immortality. i am hiv positive and i will not entertain drugs that have been so cruelly researched and foisted on the public. we dont complain loud enough about medical standards, we live in fear , still. i read the project inform report on the availibility of new treatment strategies for treatment experienced - not happy reading. but for new generations of hiv diagnosed maybe it is time to move away from pharma tech and into other fields of research on human immune health, and more holistic approaches to care.
