I remember watching MTV's Real World with Pedro Zamora during my years as an undergraduate at Elmhurst in Chicago's DuPage County suburb of Elmhurst. That was 7 years before my HIV+ diagnosis & immunology advances & discoveries allow me to live with an undetectable viral load & increased T cells. Friends, diagnosed as HIV+ just four years prior to I have not been able to benefit from the recent advances & discoveries. Pedro Zamora’s appearance on the Real World enlightened & empowered today’s generation of positive people. Zamora’s life was empowered through his HIV+ status & living fully with the virus, I am thankful that his appearance on cable television over 20 years ago enlightened & empowered today’s generation of warriors.

Rest in Peace Pedro my Friend. I also wish I had the pleasure of meeting you in person. Before your Death, you done so much for those living with HIV/ AIDS. I just wish you could have lived my Friend even though your gone my friend. I still wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving
