It’s been a wild and very hot week so far here in Amsterdam. The International AIDS Conference ends tomorrow and has been jam-packed with community networking and organizing. Yesterday was extremely moving, as I bonded with over 30 Netherlanders living with HIV that carried the Positive Flame through Amsterdam, ending with a ceremony and panel discussions at the DeLaMar Theatre.

On Tuesday, #PrEP4All released their National Action Plan for Universal Access to HIV PrEP in the United States. I met with Elton John and David Furnish the night before for a full briefing on our efforts, and even met their adorable kids! Seeing Elton in full daddy mode made my heart melt. Elton and David have been such incredible AIDS activists, always willing to push the envelope.

I’ll write more on our efforts to #BreakThePatent on Truvada PrEP in my next blog post.

Enjoy this slideshow of my week thus far. Pics from the #PrEP4All press conference were taken by Sean Black.
