Though the character isn’t like me at this stage of my life, he does remind me of me some 30 - 40 years ago. . . when I was in my “second adolescence. That’s the time when, at least for many gay men of two generations past, weren’t out with themselves nor family and straight friends . . . men like me. So we had to “enjoy” exploring our new-found “freedom.” We needed to enjoy and learn more about gay sex and gay culture. But deep down in my gut, I just wanted love. And I eventually found it.
