Dear Regan: I am hiv positive. I tried to see if i could send on your facebook page, but i cannot. I just wanted to say thank you for your work on this site and your book/memoir. I have been following your work since 2007 when i was diagnosed. Unfortunatly, i got non hodgkins lymphoma, from the hiv in January 2009. i am unbelievably lucky. I beat it within the following 6 months and have been in remission ever since. And much of that may have been from the hiv medication i got through Ryan White. I was doing great emotionally, until this year. I think it may have been "post traumatic stress" but i became very scared and upset about hiv. I started checking different websites and information about you. I remembered seeing you in POZ, and i thought it would help. it did. more than i can tell you. I ordered your book. I just wanted to say it helped so much. It has really inspired me. And from you sharing your personal life and your battle, has helped me. I looked at some things on you tube. There was a public serivce announcement you had put on there, or someone had. I was very saddened to see someone put some very negative comments. It really bothered me. That is one of the reasons i wanted to contact you. I wanted you to know that your psa's, your work, your speeches, your interviews, your book, your journey is important to so many. And if anyone has a problem with that, then THEY have serious problems. There are days when i still get upset about being positive. But it doesn't hurt as badly because of things you have said, written. I want to help and i will. I now know that I can help others who have hiv, many ways that i can. I may even try to write a blog, thanks to your inspiration. It helps so much, everything you have done and keep doing. Listening to Madonna's song today, "In this Life" I, like you, hope that we can see a cure or at least, better healthier meds in our lifetime. Thank you, Regan, for fighting, and i have joined the battle! Peace, best wishes, prayers, John Brinkman

Honored to have been there with you for photo #8 (and a couple other places along the way)! Thanks for your lovely words about POSITIVELY and especially for your incredible friendship.
