The most crucial aspect of prevention is disclosure, which is something I finding too many organizations are afraid to approach. As someone who is positive and operating a nonprofit organization that disseminates educational literature and products on disclosure, I believe this is the only way to help decrease the infection rate, next to abstience. Positive Light for Positive Living HIV Disclosure Mission was established to encourage those living with HIV or AIDS to relinqiush their fear of disclosure; after all, today there are more people living with HIV or AIDS who refuse to share their diagnosis with others because of fear. However, we believe providing those living with HIV or AIDS the tools necessary to defeat their fear of disclosure will be instrumental in combating the increased infection rate.
