OMG... U ARE A GREAT BLOGGER.. YUP.. U HIT THE SPOT BOY... I stopped online dating... haven't stopped cyber flirting thou... It's great... it feels good. Just that when u come to that place in life that u feel lonely and want to have that special person to be with in life... it can only happen cyberly ..lol..yup..everybody could be perfect here... just that at first in person, omg.. everything might seem peaches and cream... then, if the person hasn't been real, if he (she), has just been acting up to make u feel good and to catch u.... baby.. their true person will soon enough start revealing.. Its kinda hard.. so I just am as I am... and whoever likes me as I am and I like them, well I'll enjoy every moment i can.. I'll stay for as long as good memories I can build... and good memories can make people happy... Cyber is a great way to connect... just have to be careful not to put your brain on mute
OMG, I really enjoyed this article. You should have opened my eyes a long time ago. It has been four years. Met once in person. Have been talking on the phone for all that time. May have been even longer...I am losing count. He does work out of the country. I know that for sure after doing some online investigation. I keep making excuses for him. I never understood why people will talk to you on the phone yet have no desire to see you. Oops, he did ask twice. I asked three. To no avail it hasn't happened. He calls me whenever he gets back in the states. What the hell is wrong with me? Better yet, what in the hell wrong with him?
Well am new up here I found out about this site reading the magazine. Haven't met anyone yet. But I do understand what your saying and totally agree.
Loved this, Thanks for the insight.i,v been HIV+ 30 years and stopped dating or even looking 15 years ago. Over the last few weeks I have decided to give it another go. this helps a lot, to bad the "dating scene" is so much the same as back then. Oh well, I'll keep looking for a partner that enjoys slow-dancing and likes home cooked not flash frozen. Wise me luck! ;-)

LMAO......we have all been there. you do feel who will ever love or want me now. tainted goods...so just let me settle for less. please do one on the shallowness that runs rampant through out the dating arena. folks have gone crazy you must look like a model. be masculine have 12inches...ass"like a basketball, be 21. be rich....jump through hoops....just to find out the person with all the demands....looks like a monkeytroll is a big queen, has 4in. poor close to 95....not 21. and lives with in the shelter. lol.....i can't i just can't!!!
What you said is so true, I signed on to Poz.com in 09 at 57 and had a Katy Perry "teenage dream" moment with a few members but like most adolescents I learned fast in this age of technology

ditto- connected --- isnt that what we all want out of life , to feel that we can still be connected to something/someone. Moved back to where I grew up , it all seems familiar enough, but the ties have been broken, and there are all these new faces, not interested in me. Poz for 27 + years and gone through a lot, its all so confusing. Just would like to have a friend to hang out with and have the opportunity to get to know,,but its not happening on the web for me so far. I liked the comment by a responder about home cooked meals not flash frozen, I prefer to cook what I eat...Happy 2012 ALL
