The primary role of the Client Care Associate is to protect, sustain and nurture the residents while allowing resident preference to guide their care scheduling and care decisions. The CCA is aware of their primary role in coaching and aiding a resident to achieve their highest level of health and well-being. The CCA is part of the care team and will work with other team members to ensure person-centered principles, and also includes awareness of resident needs in general and making sure those needs are addressed as well. The CCA is closely involved with all aspects of the residents daily life. This includes assisting with ADL’s but also includes a more holistic approach as evidenced by involvement with the residents’/patients’ activities, food services and rehabilitation.
