Overview: Serves on the Management Team in a lead role to coordinate and manage data collection, utilization, reporting, and use in informing programmatic decision making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Information Science or related field required with a strong emphasis on data management, data collection, data utilization, data validation, and research methodologies. Relevant experience may substitute for degree

  • Two years’ supervisory experience in a data department setting utilizing an Electronic Health Record System (EHR). Non‐profit experience a plus.

  • Two years’ experience with data system entry, reporting, and maintenance. AIRS (AIDS Institute Reporting System) and/or EHR experience a plus.

  • Ability to produce and continually improve queries and reports in response to business needs.

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel required as well as working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Time management and organizational skills. Able to prioritize multiple tasks and time constraints, meet deadlines, and work independently. Typing 50 wpm.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data quantitative and qualitative analysis. Audit program data on a regular basis to ensure data quality. Develop ad‐hoc reports as necessary and effectively communicate and interpret them for staff.

  • Primary administrator for Hixny access and for 340B reporting/compliance.

  • Primary system administrator and contact for the agency EHR (Electronic Health Record) system, AIRS (AIDS Institute Reporting System), and HMIS (Homeless Management Information System).

  • Provide staff AIRS and EHR training, troubleshooting, and create staff operating manuals and policies for the use of AIRS and EHR.

  • Create, run, and interpret data reports from AIRS and EHR for grant‐funded programs and provide information and analysis in program team meetings.

  • Participate in weekly client case conferences and provide data reports to alert staff of member indicator due dates and needs.

  • Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics for Continuous Quality Improvement efforts for each program area.

  • Oversee and assist with data entry of initial agency intakes and agency six month re‐ assessments for members as well as required data for viral load, CD4 and last physician visit information. Oversee and ensure that all indicators are entered into AIRS and EHR.

  • Familiarity with grant reporting requirements and stays current on any changes in reporting requirements.

  • Assists in the preparation of data reports required by funders and ensures that reports address changing funding priorities and requirements, including the annual Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Services Report (RSR).

  • Provide, present and analyze data for continuous quality improvement activities, including but not limited to the RSR data, on a regular basis or as requested by Director of Programs.

  • Attend full staff meetings and meet required 24 hours of annual training

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
