NuCara, HIV Special Project Division, is an independent contractor of the Iowa Department of Public Health with offices located in the Historic East Village of Des Moines, Iowa. We provide public health staffing and programming with a focus on extending the capacity and agility of the Bureau of HIV, STD, and Hepatitis.

The Position:

We’re looking for a Health and Racial Equity Coordinator. This position will have primary responsibility for developing, implementing and supporting a framework to build capacity so that 1.) the Bureau of HIV, STD, and Hepatitis will be a highly effective entity that operates with health and racial equity as a guiding principle; and 2.) the work of the Bureau and its contractors will produce HIV, STD, and Hepatitis health outcomes in Iowa that are not determined by race, class, gender, or other social status. -The pay range for this position is $53,000-$83,000. We offer a flexible work environment and schedule, including 18 days of PTO and 9 paid holidays.
