The Caribbean Women’s Health Association, Inc. is currently looking to hire an HIV Program Coordinator.  The HIV Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Programs and coordinate a diverse range of HIV Testing/Counseling, Outreach and Community Prevention Education efforts, including workshop facilitation, group facilitation, prepare reports, program coordination, event planning and facilitate relationships with partner organizations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Support planning and coordination of the HIV programs and its activities, which include HIV Testing and Counseling, Community Prevention Education Workshops, Group Facilitation, Linkage/Navigation, Outreach, etc.
  • Supervision of Staff
  • Ability to manage City and State Contracts
  • Prepare monthly reports to funders
  • Work closely with Finance Department
  • Maintain up to date HIV Program Policies and Procedures
     Help build positive relationships within the team and external parties
  • Schedule and organize internal and external meetings/events

Requirements 

  • Proven experience as HIV Program Coordinator
  • Knowledge of HIV Effective Behavioral Interventions
  • Knowledge of HIV Prevention and Treatment Resources in NYC
  • Knowledge of AIRS (AIDS Institute Reporting System)
  • Knowledge of program management and development procedures
     Proficient in MS Office
  • The ability to work with a diverse population including the immigrant and the LGBTQ populations
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • BSc. With 5 years of experience or MPH with 2 year experience
  • Must have Social Media experience
