Job Description

The Manager is a member of NASTAD’s Hepatitis team, assisting in the development of readiness assessments, the provision of capacity building assistance (CBA) and training products to health department hepatitis programs, and program evaluation. The position works within NASTAD’s Hepatitis Testing Partnership and Learning Collaborative (HTPLC) Team to implement the required elements of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) PS16-1608 Viral Hepatitis Networking, Capacity Building, and Training cooperative agreement.

The position will be responsible for coordinating CBA requests and tracking CBA topic trends, working with partner organizations to develop and strengthen HCV programmatic activities, maintaining a listserv and an online resource center, and planning for network meetings.

Essential Duties

  • Provide support for NASTAD capacity building assistance activities within the hepatitis program.
  • Coordinate NASTAD’s Hepatitis Testing Partnership and Learning Collaborative (HTPLC) team, and leverage the Learning Collaborative to facilitate improved testing of the target populations for chronic viral hepatitis and link to care and treatment.
  • Develop and maintain a directory of coalition member organizations for NASTAD’s Hepatitis Testing Partnership and provide technical assistance and training to conduct culturally competent educational outreach to the populations living with hepatitis C.
  • Leverage the Hepatitis Testing Partnership coalition to assist implementation of CDC’s national viral hepatitis educational campaign.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and four to five (4-5) years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience working in capacity building with governmental public health a plus
  • Prior experience working in the area of HIV and/or hepatitis a plus
