I was diagnosed in 1986, and as things got BAD about 10 years later, I got a dog...in 1996. That dog was a crucial part of me living and surviving! We were inseparable, and even when people could not be at my side, my "baby girl," a Beautiful Boxer, always was. When she passed, I had to get another Boxer...and my healing continued. Dogs = LOVE.
