Jerry, perhaos it would be apt then for you to get such a person to write out and sign a statement saying that she or he is aware of your HIV+ status as of the date you tell her or him... Then you retain that written statement in a secure place. Whether HIV causes AIDS or not, you are in danger of being criminalised otherwise.
I live with HIV, and I often tell people that I have HIV, and when I tell them I do they desire not too mess with me, which I understand. This is something I would not put on my worst enemy, no matter what they do to me, they have a right to know.
I still have a problem with the disclosure thing, not that you shouldn't disclose your status BUT when you do and the other person still wants unsafe sex and you go at it with them for a few months THEN down the road, they go to their local health department for a test, come up poz and throw you under the bus for non-disclosure. YES it happens here. I have known of at least two persons that did that on purpose.

Walker.225, if / when you meet someone who really likes you or who even loves you then she or he might very well choose to take the risk. And whether the paradigm of HIV causes AIDS is true or not, you are doing the right thing.
