I feel that Magic Johnson has done more damage than good surrounding HIV. He was ill prepared and misinformed when he made his inital annoucement of his HIV status. He should have consulted more knowledgeable people about HIV first before dissiminating misinformation about the disease and his personal situation. It is too late for him to become active again in combating HIV. There are many young artists, some of them hip-hop, that are through their work discussing HIV prevention and awareness.
