Here is an idea: How about any money awarded from this lawsuit going to AIDS research or AIDS care? Personal profiteering from such lawsuits are surely unethical. I dare to say that the same should be for many lawsuits in which the individual seeks to stop things happening to others. Why shouldn't good causes be the benificiaries rather than the suing individual?
There's still discrimination against people with HIV! A few years back I went 2 a dentist in Pennsylvania. After revealing to him my status,he turned red in the face,started 2 shake,began 2 talk 2 me like a criminal suspect,then commenced 2 abuse me physically! He jammed the needle in my mouth,broke 2 teeth,cut my lip,& then stormed out the room! I've never been more humiliated in my life by a so called professional! It's not money,it's justice! Good luck 2 her!
I don't understand why she is filing a lawsuit when they retracted, apologized and said she could come back. Sounds like a money grab to me.

Mike-Mike, that sounds awful. Perhaps you have grounds to sue. Maybe you could complain the the dentist' professional body at the very least. It sounds like poor dentistry. And perhaps prejudice too. Dbec, perhaps her motivation to sue is to highlight things in the press to the maximum. Perhaps she intends to donate any winnings to an AIDS charity. We don't know.
