What is Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy? Progressive multi-focal leuko-encepha-lopathy (PML) is an extremely rare viral disease caused by the reactivation of a common virus from the Chickenpox that lies dormant in our central nervous system of immune-compromised individuals. Polyomavirus JC (often called JC virus) is carried by a majority of people and is harmless except among those with lowered immune defenses. The disease occurs, rarely, in organ transplant patients; people undergoing chronic corticosteroid or immunosuppressive therapy; and individuals with cancer, such as Hodgkin’s disease, lymphoma, and sarcoidosis. Is there a cure,no! However, if correctly diagnosed in time and proper medications are given, you can survive for years! When PML claimed my daughter Courtney's life, I began my personal quest to raise Worldwide Awareness! I thought to myself, how can one person possibly accomplish such a huge task? That's when I decided to write and share her amazing story with you all, the people of our World! My new book trailer has been successfully uploaded to the YouTube channel and is available at the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmLglErD2ik Reginald Todd Hewitt_Courtney's Story Orlando, Florida 321-388-1952 Contact: com4tsweets@aol.com http://www.Rosedogbooks.com http://www.Daytimediva77.com
