" ITS ABOUT LOVE ". PETER STALEYS, BLOG. I WOULD LIKE TO POINT SOMETHING OUT HERE. A "BLOG", IS A PERSONS OPINION, A THOUGHT. IN THIS PARTICULAR BLOG, PETER MKS AN ANNOUNCEMANT, THAT HE IS , "A PROUD ATHIEST". MY PROBLEM: WHY DO "WE", NEED TO, OR, WANT TO KNOW THIS 'ADDED TIDBIT', OF HIS PERSONAL, [I REPEAT: 'PERSONAL', CHOICE/OPINION ?],,, BUT, THEN AGAIN, THIS "IS" A BLOG. AND, A PERSON CAN VOICE THEIR OPINION OPENLY ON HERE, FOR ALL TO READ. PERSONALLY, HIS COMMENT, IS DISTURBING TO ME, [SINCE I AM A BORN AGAIN ,CHRISTIAN]. BUT, AM ''ALL-FOR'', GAY-MARRIAGE. SO, WHERE IS THIS "BLOG" OF MINE GOING, U ASK ? WELL, LAST WEEK I REPLIED TOO A PERSONS, "BLOG". HE WAS ASKING IF 'ANYBODY' OUT THERE, KNEW OF ANY NUTRITIONAL- NUTRACEUTICALS, THAT HELPS WITH A NEWLY DIAGNOSED HIV DIAGNOSIS', [BEFORE HE STARTS HAART-THERYPY]. AND , I DO KNOW SOME VERY-IMPORTANT NUTRITIONAL-SUPPLEMENTS, 'THAT ALL HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN PRESTIGIOUS-MEDICAL-JOURNALS, PEER-REVIEWED, PLACEBO-CONTROLLED-PHASED-TRIALS,,, [JUST LIKE THE SCRUTINY THAT THE 'ANTI-VIRAL-MEDS', GO THROUGH, BEFORE FDA APPROVAL.] [AGAIN, WHERE IS THIS 'LONG-BLOG' GOING ???]. ITS GOING HERE = MY 'BLOG', IN RESPONSE TO THE PERSONS-BLOG, ASKING FOR 'ADVICE', WAS UNJUSTLY-'DELETED'. YES, U READ RIGHT..."DELETED". I GUESS, PETER, THOUGHT THAT IT WAS POLITICALLY-IN-CORRECT. [OUT OF THE NORM]. AND , ALSO PROBALLY DUE TOO THAT FACT, THAT SEVERAL-REPLIES TOO MY 'BLOG',WHERE NOT AS, 'WELCOME', AS I THOUGHT, THEY, WOULD'VE BEEN. [REMEMBER, THATS A 'PERSONAL', OPINION,,, -JUST LIKE 'PETERS', SHOUT-OUT, THAT "HE IS A PROUD ATHIEST"]. MAYBE, SOME OF MY COMMENTS ON THE NUTRACEUTICALS, WERE, "TOO HARD", FOR SOME HIV'ERS, TOO SWALLOW. TO SUDDENLY, 'FIND-OUT', THAT THERE WERE AND 'ARE', SOME VERY, VERY, IMPORTANT NUTRIENTS, THAT IF, "THEY-HAD-KNOWN", BEFORE STARTING HAART, [THAT MAYBE, THEY COULD HAVE AVOIDED SOME SERIOUS SIDE-EFFECTS OF THESE 'COCKTAILS', FOR A 'LIL WHIE LONGER]. THERE WERE ABOUT 10 PEOPLE THAT STATED, MY BLOG, SHOULD BE REMOVED/DELETED, [BUT ALSO], THERE WERE 3 POSITIVE, BLOGS, ABOUT MY BLOG. AND MY ''OPINIONS'', [BLOGS], WERE JUST 'DELETED'. I THINK PETER WAS JUST ACTING ON ,'WHAT HE THOUGHT, HE SHOULD-DO', [TO MK. SOME PEOPLE, "HAPPY", TOO SEE IT GO]. I DO NOT THINK THAT, PETER HAS ANYTHING AGAINST ME PERSONALLY, [WHY SHOULD HE ?]. AND I DON'T EXPECT HIM TO APOLOGISE, AND REMOVE, HIS OWN FEELINGS, [BLOG], ON, 'PROUDLY, BEING AN ATHIEST',,, [WHICH I FIND OFFENSIVE], BUT , THEN AGAIN,,, "A BLOG, IS JUST A BLOG", [OR IS IT]... ??? BTW: I THINK THAT MY 'BLOG', SHOULD ALLOWED TOO BE POSTED. AS ITS, 'ONLY-MY PERSONAL-THOUGHTS', RIGHT ? "A BLOG". ALSO, I AM WILLING TOO CHANGE SOME WORDING, AND,,, TOO 'ADD', THE, 'SCIENTIFIC-STUDIES', DONE ON THESE PROVEN, T-CELL-BOOSTERS, AND, VIRAL-LOAD-REDUCERS. THEN, ITS NOT JUST ANECDOTAL. BUT, ITS STILL, JUST, 'MY-OPINION' STATED... 'JUST-LIKE', OTHERS, CAN ''SAY-WHAT-THEY-LIKE'', [BLOG-IT], FOR OTHERS TOO READ, N COMMENT ON. "NO HARD FEELINGS, ON MY PART, TO PETER, OR TOO THE REPLYS, THAT, 'CONDEMNED-ME'. "HAPPY HOLIDAYS", AND,,, "GOD-BLESS". [A BLOG].
Mark and Houston have both hit the nail on the head and are absolutely correct. A threatening fist? What is wrong with these people? Are they nuts?
I have to admit as of today I am presently surprised by Obama. He demonstrated true leadership friday by choosing his Sec of State a month earlier than any previous president in recent memory. His statements this weekend or leaks saying that there would be no new taxes for at least two years is just huge.He could have easily done what FDR did,nothing. He said nothing as Hoover begged him to do something and drove the economy and stock mkt deeper in a hole making it easier to show improvement when he took office. Obama has shown true courage with his recent announcements. He chose what was best for country over political victories at the expense of economy. He may be a change from the usual democrat party pol. He will face much rancor for his recent moves from within his own party. I dont like many of his cabinet choices but WTF he has no experience at anything and needs people with some kind of history in exec branch. It is so wonderful to see a Democrat choose what is best for the country over politics. I dont want to get Chris Matthews giddy and I know many here who are one issue people are pissed at him,but I say everyone,conservative and libs need to get firmly behind this guy and understand that he is gonna make some decisions the hurt some and reward others,they are tough choices but after this weekend I have new faith and confidence in the person making them. I know I am being a hypocrite and supporting someone with such a corrupt and shady political history,but at this point I would stand with competent crook who can talk over the incompetents who cant.
By all means let's argue over the poster for the six months instead of getting anything done. That would be truly "Gay".
I agree with Mark about the message of the poster. Besides its homage to very tired socialist realism of the last century, it's an angry, confrontationalist visual. I wasn't particularly fond of the "God loves Gays" banner, but I do not consider this an improvement.
I think atheists are sexy. Oh, and I like the poster too.
I like the graphic. I think that it is very powerful. (A Spanish version would be nice)I was at the rally here in Phoenix on Saturday afternoon. I was surprised at its success. We had 2000 - 2500 folks show up. This was great because we only had planned the demo on Wednesday. The signs here were okay. The only one I remember was "Bigotry is sooooo last president". Someone should compile a list of clever slogans and blog them or post them.
