Today is Peter Staley’s 62nd birthday... so, happy birthday to Peter! He’s hoping to use his special day to raise money for a special and most-needed cause.... PrEP4All!

I’ll let the man himself tell you all about it.

"It’s my birthday, and I’ll c̶r̶y̶ — I mean fundraise — if I want to. Two years ago, for my big six-oh, I asked if folks could donate to PrEP4All, which had recently become its own not-for-profit (after two years as an all-volunteer group, with TAG as its fiscal sponsor). You all helped me raise over $16K at that point. After another two years of extraordinary work, I’m now, proudly, PrEP4All’s board president.

When I told Tom Viola that I hoped to raise at least $20K for my 62nd birthday, he shot back, “why not 62 thousand?” YIKES! Nothing like a challenge from the man who’s raised more money than anyone else to fight AIDS.

So, I’m making the largest donation of my life to this effort, and along with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and amfAR, we’re launching this with a $31K challenge — we’ll match your donations dollar for dollar up to half our goal.

Please donate using the link above. And, just like those red buckets in theater lobbies, no donation is too small.

Supporting THE best HIV prevention group in the country will make this birthday boy incredibly proud. PLEASE HELP if you can!" - Peter Staleyf

You make all of us proud, Peter.

If you’re in a position to donate, great! If you’re not, that’s okay of course. Either way, I hope this message finds you well and that the new year is off to a great start. If not, then it’s early enough to turn this shit around!

Positively Yours,

Shawn
