Regan, I read the Star Ledger piece and hope you'll absolutely consider motherhood. You're beautiful, compassionate and exceptionally bright - what a wonderful mother you'd make. I can't relate to the AIDS thing but I can relate to the AGE thing and, yes, at 41 - even with multiple rounds of IVF and luck on your side, chances of success are slim. But donor eggs eliminates the risk of chromosomal issues and increases success rate to over 80%. Cornell has an excellent program, as does CCRM in Colorado. A lot of nervy, unsolicited advice - I know. I'd just love to see a valuable woman bring and nurture life into this world.
