I was lucky enough to see this exhibit when I attended AIDS Denialism, Mistrust and Stigma Symposium at Harvard. It was incredibly powerful and moving. Yes, there were some explicit images, but it was not used for any type of debauched, pornographic enjoyment. Quite the contrary. These images were a necessity to communicate the urgency of the incredibly quickly mounting health crisis which was being dutifully ignored by first Reagan and then George Bush Sr. Anyone who perpetuates any other idea is clearly pushing a twisted, debauched agenda that is certainly lacking in rationality today and reality of the time.
