The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria will need to spend between $1.6 billion and $1.9 billion per year to provide ongoing support to the 2.5 million people it already provides with antiretroviral (ARV) therapy, according to a study released at the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna and reported by The Global Fund plans to increase the number of people it provides with ARVs to 3.5 million by the end of 2011.
