Testing Campaign A new campaign asks Latino men who have sex with men (MSM): “What’s your reason?/¿Cuál es tu razón?” for getting an HIV test. A part of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Act Against AIDS initiative, the bilingual campaign material includes posters, an interactive website and info on confidential and free testing sites.

According to the CDC, Latinos account for 16 percent of the U.S. population but 21 percent of new HIV cases. Gay and bisexual Latino men account for one in four new cases among all MSM. So why should they get tested? Reasons/Razones displayed in the campaign include: my family, my friends, my partner, my health—and me.
